Where's the best place in the UK to get first gen parts, I've been shipping them in from America and Germany so far, I would like to cut costs by getting them as close to home as possible

You've been doing the most cost effective thing. There are no parts distributors in the UK, they are only resellers, so they buy from the U.S, pay shipping, customs etc. then add their margin making it more expensive to buy. Best thing is to get a good list together and buy at once to make the most out of shipping. Alternatively it's possible to get stuff over in a container from places like STS imports. This way you can take advantage of free shipping in the U.S to the docks, then shipping is cheaper too as your stuff is in a container which is being shipped at a fixed rate. This is good for larger parts like body panels but also good for lots of small heavy bits i.e. rotors.

How to post pics: When writing a message, scroll down and use the "attach file" option. Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

Thanks, I've never heard of STS imports, that'll be useful for when I need to ship in new suspension setup

+1 for STS Imports https://www.stsimports.co.uk/ I've been using this company for a few years now and have always had a positive experiences.

The owner Ron has an avid interest in American motor vehicles, and correctly works out the import taxes unlike HMRC, plus his shipping costs are very reasonable. I'm very lucky that I can collect in person, only three miles from where I live :)
