How to post pics: When writing a message, scroll down and use the "attach file" option. Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

Car Details:68 pontiac firebird coupe project car,my aim is a street friendly,lightly modified pro.touring style.
Lowered ,mild body mods,400 cu in SBC engine, Muncie 4speed, 10 bolt posi axle,disc front drum rear.
68 firebird convertible ( long term project) Stock resto/mod style ,400 pontiac th350
Good test with interesting result :thumbup:
I would have guessed that the X-pipe would have come out much better, but seems a simple H works almost as well .

Yes your car does have a nice sound, aggressive with a good deep tone at low revs :thumbup:

Sometimes it is hard to pick the right system even after listening to examples on the computer, in the real world they tend to sound different and also change on individual cars...

I like the systems with the deeper tones, not too loud but not too tame either ,something in the middle ground of the Flowmaster range is about right .

i had an H pipe added to mine a while back, and definitely smoothed out the sound, compared to solo dual system.......

I was surprised to see how little power difference there was, having expected to see about 5 -10hp gains based on what's been written.

Mine originally had straight pipes with cherry bombs and it had a great sound to it. Having put a larger diameter X pipe system in and headers, it's much quieter but seems smoother.

I think its more torque scavenging than anything else..
