Car Details:1986 Camaro, bought into Spain by me in 1993.
305 replaced by a 355, 750 Demon carb, RPM AirGap intake, Brodix heads, Hedman Hedders, 3" Flowmaster exhaust.
Wheels are Summit aluminium 5 spokes, tyres are 245 rear 225 front BF Goodrich.
B/M transmission, battery relocated to the rear, GoodMark 4" cowl steel hood.
Location:Spain East Coast
Doing that job, I´d have those front seats out first, just to get some body room.

The AC delete panel is one of the best mods I´ve done, frees up a load o´ space to fill with other parts..... :thumbup:

It "may" see usage on the public roads this year, maybe not. There's a lot to do, wiring is next followed by a multitude of other issues that need rectifying.
Mine was leaking - i started the car a couple of weeks ago and saw some coolant dripping under the car. The floor plan has also been welded, so that seems to be a bit of a hint that something wasn't right. I'm just in the middle of replacing it now. Managed to get the box out from the inside of the footwell. Been trying to dry out the carpet all day yesterday with a fan heater, the thing is soaked!

Hopefully it will be on the road this year :) What's the plans with the wiring, are you putting in a new loom? Be good if you could make it to Speedfest, might be a bit of a drive but it's a great event!
Oh dear, sorry to hear of the carpet disaster. Any idea how long the matrix has been leaking for? I've no idea whether mine worked correctly or not, it wasn't plumbed in! Did you find a great deal of corrosion to your matrix? The brackets the matrix sits on were a little rusty in mine.

I'm not intending to have a new loom if possible, depends on what the auto electrician advises. Hopefully it'll just be refresh and removal of unnecessary wiring that's been added over the years. If the car is presentable, I may visit Speedfest this year. To meet other like minded owners would be good :)

You bet! :) There's certainly far more room in the bay now then before. I didn't find the passenger seat to confine my working space when removing the heater box. The hardest part was actually removing the box from the firewall, not refitting it.

Passenger seat removed once more, more heat reflective material laid down.

Gone as far as I think I need to. Didn't notice a great deal of heat soak from the rear passenger footwells.

Been a few months, however recently I've begun working on the rear seats.

Rear seat covers by PUI, Custom design as opposed to standard.

The Cover is laid out...

...foam inserted with extra bolstering foam to remove the creases, hog ringed to the seat frame...

...nearly there just a few more hog rings to attach and a little more foam in certain areas :)

Over the past few months doubts have arisen over the Kurust product I used when I stripped the interior and worked on the floor. Many have said how these "miracle" rust killers only hinder the growth of the corrosion, and albeit not that well either.

With this in mind, and wishing to preserve the original steel I removed the silver Hammerite back to bare steel. Thankfully new rust hadn't formed but just to be safe the floor was mechanically abraded and attacked with citric acid gel...

..mildly pitted but clean of oxidisation...
