Hi everyone my name is Gary from Kent and im new to the whole American cars.

I bought myself a 1991 Gen 3 Camaro 5.0 v8.

Not had much time to drive it yet as im waiting for my previous car to sell but as soon as that sells I will be spending some money on tidying up my new toy.

Im sure that I will be asking alot of basic and stupid questions at some points so apologies now for that.

Thanks and hello

Hello and welcome... car looks quite clean from that pic...
I sold my 3rd gen 17 years ago but I'm sure others can help out with queries..

Welcome to the club, have you had any American cars or classics before?

Thanks the car is rather clean other than the odd bit of rust here and there its not bad, bonnet needs replacing or repairing but happy with it as a base car.

Thanks, erm not really had any classics before unless you class a 1989 ford sierra xr4i 2.9 v6 or a 1994 toyota supra classics.

Never owned an American car before but have been tempted more and more and decided it was time to get one.

Greetings, and welcome!

You've chosen a great car to get into the american car scene. The 3rd gen is a superb car and quite civilized to live with, I certainly loved mine. You can get most parts fairly easily, there are quite a few suppliers around now and Richard Hogg (on facebook) is a useful breaker of 3rd gens in the UK should you need one.

The most annoying thing at the moment is a cr*p exchange rates, makes all the parts so much more expensive to import......

Enjoy it, get out in it as soon as you can. You won't look back once you've got used to a left hooker!!!

Looking forward to driving it and going to some meets.

Hello from Cumbria!

Not long had our 3rd Camaro and enjoying owning it. It doesn't take long to get used to sitting on the wrong side of the car, overtaking can be a little 'entertaining' but you get used to it. We use it as our 'daily driver', don't expect to not have people looking at it and asking about it, the Camaro does get attention :-)

I've asked many stupid questions but the people on here are decent enough and answer questions that they get.

Check for the 'wet carpet on the drivers side' common problem would be the easiest thing to do first
