Sorry for the many questions, still getting used to the Camaro.

I've noticed a rather damp patch in the foot well of the drivers side under the bonnet release (I'm English, I say "bonnet", sorry) Anyone where the drain holes are in the wing or where the leak is likely to come from?

First guess (English: thought) is the windscreen.

It could be from a couple of places:
1) The plastic footwell kick panel has vents in it, which bring air in through a hole in the inner shell sheet metal. If the seal between the plastic aren't sealing, it can let water in. Sometimes removing the panel and putting it back means the seal is no longer any good, as they used a butile like glue (like on windscreens) to seal it. Could be worth removing it and applying some sealant.
2) On a wet day / hose down the bonnet area well. Open the bonnet and you will see where water channels down, by the bottom corners of the windscreen you will see water running down the firewall, on the relays and onto the inner wheel well. There may be a small hole somewhere in the firewall here, but this is quite unlikely. Assuming the rubber weather strip is in place, water shouldn't be getting into this area, but if missing / damaged, it may be able to seep through.
Is it a T Top car?

This is on my passenger side under the blower motor, I have a small rust hole,
filled it with body sealer as it´s hard to access.

On the driver´s side firewall (English: bulkhead) in the same place there is the connector (English: plug) for the
engine harness (English: wiring loom) check there.


You can remove your wipers and the grill to look inside the plenum.


Mine was in a dreadful state, wire brushed it cleaned it, used seam filler and sprayed it.

Okay had a prod around and stuck some sealant here or there, we'll see how things go, thanks for the replies, it's appreciated.

One thing I've found out though is if your carpet is wet but not flooded then you can dry it up with a sock full of cat litter just left to sit on top of the damp patch, it seems to work a treat, though I'd recommend fresh cat litter not used ;-)

Okay, weather up here eventually allowed me to check through everything, still had a wet carpet though. Decided to give it a good clean and found the weather-strip behind the wing mirror had come away and split, this is right above where the wet carpet is. So I've superglued - don't laugh - the strip back to the door and applied a lot of silicon sealant into the gap till I can sort it out properly. You could get a trim removal tool inside the gap!

Still seems to be doing the trick. this means I'll have to fork out for some decent weather strips I suppose, bugger it

"Wingmirror" you mean door mirror don´t you ?
If it´s coming in at the door mirror it´s not going to land up on the carpet,
it´ll drop straight down into the bottom of the door.
Or...weatherstrip, door outside or door inside ?
