There is a lovely place just below the stereo in my 79 camaro and i was thinking about adding some small gauges. I would like to have an oil pressure gauge, but am not sure what else would be handy?
I read that the mounts for gauges on the front pillar make the place look cluttered, and i want this subtle rather than boy racer.
Also, i am guessing that an oil pressure gauge fitting kit got from a UK shop is unlikely to fit to the US engine. Does anyone know any makes or good places to get some?
Anyone fitted any to theirs?

Thanks :-)

I fitted some additional guages to my '69, I'll take some pics in the next couple of days & post them up for you to see. The guages were from Real Steel & I've fitted angle rings underneath them which turn them at an angle to face you. they look very factory, which was the look I'm after. The ones mounted to the pillar look really gash IMHO & don't suit our style of cars, but hey, it's your car so if you like 'em then go for it, cheers.....Nige

Hey any pics would be really great to see :-)

I agree with you, there is no sense cluttering with non OEM stuff. I fitted a 7" touch screen below the stereo and had a gps and dvd etc fitted in the boot.... but it just ruined the whole style and has since been removed. Another reason why i am looking to replace the door cards, even the speakers grills look a bit trashy IMHO.
So it is as close as possible to looking original and then i think i wont be dissapointed :-)

Am off to browse for real steel :-)

Thanks for the help

wow they look really nice :-)

I like the way you have tilted them. I bought a set of three VDO gauges on ebay and now just need the senders, so i am almost ready to mount :-)

Thanks very much for taking the time to take these pictures :-D It is really appreciated
