Yup....no more MOT until it has "a mechanical means of opening the doors from the outside".

If I lock the doors from the inside, me in it, the doors cannot be opened.
Back to square one are'nt we ?

Oh dear, that's not good :( I kind of see their point BUT c'mon :/

Good at least that the handles weren't cut out and plate welded over them, looks recoverable?

I had to take the car back and have them do the paint again.
You could till see where the mirrors were attached and the front
of the driver´s door was just fogged.
The passenger door had a huge curtain like run on it.

All done nice now, installed the outer weatherstrip and mirrors yesterday.

Job and a half, so far only the driver´s door is all hooked up passenger door today.
"Luckily" I decide to leave the lock off the passenger door.....turns out I´ve lost one of my
original lock cylinders which must give up an arm off the back to the new ones.
I still wish I could find it though.

Here we are.....these handles are dreadful.. ..no thought little design.
