What other dials are wrong? If the temp is always low. have you checked to see if the thermostat has been removed?

From the looks of things only the battery charge and petrol level are right, even the rev counter isn't accurate going by ear and reading, revs go up, rev counter stays level or drops dramatically when standing still. It's a niggle but not serious.......and finding an excuse for the wife for me to justify funding the replacements would of course be the main thing ;-)

I'll suggest the silly thing - how are the ground connections?
