That's strange :/ Could you take a pic of that area?

How to post pics: When writing a message, scroll down and use the "attach file" option. Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

Yeah, when I next get chance!

I am sure I have the correct place as I can see two holes about the right space apart

Hopefully it's still there, not sure why someone would remove it, unless it was really badly rusted. They are held on via 2 bolts, so it is easy enough to remove if someone wanted to. I took mine off to clean some surface rust on it and underneath it.
I could be wrong but I thought these were installed with rivets from the factory not screws/bolts?

I've heard both - Mine has it bolted on and when i checked the hidden vin it matched up. Unless someone removed it to clean it before? Need to find a completely stock original one to check :)
