Car Details:68 pontiac firebird coupe project car,my aim is a street friendly, lightly modified pro.touring style.
Lowered ,mild body mods,400 cu in SBC engine, Muncie 4speed, 10 bolt posi axle, disc front drum rear.
68 firebird convertible ( long term project) Stock resto/mod style ,400 pontiac th350
Good work getting back on the road !
The front end reminds me of custom fronts on some of the last C3 Vettes, there was also a Cheverra custom Camaro based on a 70's car with the later big back window that had a deep front spoiler ( different style but lower ).
Looks like a lot of work in that front end , but it goes with the style of the car and gives it an aggressive look .

I'd like to see more pics, both of it on the car now, and the build process. Nice work.

Thanks guys

I'll find some pics tonight - they are stashed away on a drive somewhere as it was a couple of years ago i think.

I seem to be missing a few months of pictures, i have found one though where the bumper is in fibreglass, so will upload shortly. Here's a front view of it painted and fitted:

That is very similar! I should a chrome surround and black out the spoiler

Starting work on the niggly things now. Main one is the rear right tyre, which has always needed pumping up. Went it the garage yesterday and after being pumped up to 33psi last Saturday, it's was completely flat and squashed on the floor  Went to the local tyre place and they put some soapy water on the valve and rim and it was bubbling up around a part of the rim. They broke the bead and reseated it and pumped it back up to 33. When i got home and put the tyre on it felt a bit squishy and apparently was down to 15 psi  I sprayed some soapy water around the rim and valve and couldn't see anything bubbling up (though as it was mounted, only had access to the to the outside). Pumped it up to 30psi last night and it's already down to about 10psi half a day later. wtf?!

Found a piece of thick rubber that i will use for the fuel pump mount to try and isolate the droning buzzing sound so that will be the next thing to sort.

Dropped the right rear tyre off at the tyre shop this morning, as it was completely flat again after being re-seated. Going to leave it with them until Friday to see if it holds after a couple of days.

I love spending time fixing things and just ending up with them still not fixed. Was a pretty cr*ppy weekend. Wanted to fix my studio speaker that has been unable to switch on. Needed to take the power amp off the back but needed a desk lamp to see better, bulb was blown, so changed the bulb, didn't work. So changed the fuse, still didn't work. So that was a tyre and a desklamp that couldn't be fixed. Then onto the speaker, had to change out a capacitor and after 6 hours and very awkward soldering angles, got it sorted and still didn't turn on :/ Finally found a hidden fuse (there were 2 fuses, checked the one i saw and it was ok) and it turned out to be the hidden fuse was blown. So, basically, didn't need to change the capacitor and spend hours on it. Tested it, worked, so reassembled and put it in place, turned on and now it sounds like it's tuned into a squawky radio station :/ It's a power amp so nothing is connected, something's up, likely the capacitor i didn't need to replace that has caused an issue. So basically, had a list of 3 things to fix and none got fixed, but a whole weekend gone. Really annoying, when you do what you're supposed to but it makes no difference. That's why i had so many gaps with the Camaro project, i would get to the point of being depressed at nothing happening and then not being able to muster up any motivation to do anything on it. How great it would be to be smart and be able to fix stuff and it work properly.
