Hi all, I have purchased my second Camaro Gen 3, this time a 5 speed Rs model which needs some work, I am looking for a new bonnet (Z28 would be nice), new exhaust (aftermarket stainless system) and then a reliable garage that understands these cars to do a full service, any help appreciated

Hi Deano, congrats on getting the Camaro! I think ChevyStu may have a bonnet for sale. I also think i saw one one on facebook the other day, if i find it again i'll post a link for you.

Rocky on here runs American Technique which is based in Watford and can work on the car for you. He also sells and imports parts, so can get and install or build and install an exhaust for you. There is another place that will understand these cars, based in Hounslow (if i remember right) called Auto Pontiac. Aside from the name, there is a lot of similarity so they can be trusted on working on the car too.

Not sure if you're around the greater London area?

Cheers,

Ray

Apologies, i misread that as "second gen v3 (late model 79-81". In that case American Technique are definitely a good bet as they are 3rd gen specialists, so have loads of parts and can usually get anything they don't have. Last time i checked they had a couple of bonnets, about £100 ea.

Thanks for the replies, very helpful, I will give American Tech a try

I did see a Z28 bonnet for sale on ebay, bit of damage which is OK but the louvres are not supplied and looking them up on line they are more expensive than the bonnet !!
