Car Details:79' camaro road & track day toy. 383 stroker, 5 speed TKO trans, lots of suspension stuff, 13" Vette brakes, 18" wheels.
Location:Luton
I started doing track days about 8 years ago, but realised quite quickly I'm not competitive enough to go racing, and just enjoy my own level of speed and circuit action without the pressure of actual racing.

Everyone can find their own level at which they are comfortable

there is simply nothing that comes close to good open racing with kindred spirits

as steve macqueen said

Racing is Life..................

whether that be racing around a field in the damp, or a trcak day, or high powered sport..........

Ah! Sprints, yes a very affordable, non-contact (assuming you don't throw it away yourself!) way of involving your big V8 musclecar in motorsport and having lots of fun for cheap. Having drag raced for too long, Sprints came as a very welcome breath of fresh air, representing far better value for money and far more fun than drags. Not for everyone, but for those perhaps wanting the buzz of circuit racing without the risks and costs, a very real alternative until the calling bites harder.....................
Cheers, Martin

I do love 2nd gen race cars, they look great. Looking forward to doing some track / sprint days next year. Sportsroof is being kind enough to help with installing a 4 speed manual in mine once i get it over there (was hoping to be able to drive over in December) :D
