Come on, it's Friday now.

Did it pass the MOT, is it back on the road?

Is Stu spending too much time driving it to post?

 Alas, it didn't pass.

Nothing major though.. :D Small repair needed need subframe mount, and rear brakes aren't good enough basically.. So whole new rear brake conversion kit ordered and on way to be fitted in a week or 2...

Sorry to hear about the MOT. I thought it would have flown through with the work that's gone into it!

What are you doing about the rear brakes? Disc upgrade?

The rear brakes suck, and couldn't even muster 2% efficiency. Everything checked out mechanically so Stu took the decision to fit a great set!

The foot brake was also poor scraping through at 57%. Typical of extremely hard race pads from cold.

The rust hole I completely missed, it was tucked up behind the subframe.

Just a waiting game on parts from the USA now and then it'll be sorted in a couple of weeks....

Wow that's not much good for braking! On my 3rd gen the rear passenger side drum had a slightly leaking axle seal so the pads got a bit greasy after a while, but still held, wonder what was causing these to not hold well.

You almost saw the back of the car then! New rear kit will be good, looking forward to seeing it on there!

Looks like fairly decent kit.. hopefully will match well with the C5 fronts.. going for bit softer front pads too as yellowstuff on their now takes ages to warm and work well on the street.

Out of curiosity, what kit have you gone for? I'm putting a Baer kit based on C4 on the front, but still stock on the rear.

I had a C5 kit fitted about 6 years ago. I did a lot of research and was the best value and most easily fitted for the result, and future disc and pad supplies.
Rear was still drums till 2 years ago and then fitted a 2nd hand SSBC rear disc kit, but it was never great, hoping this one will work out. It's a RSD AFXRD07Z kit with bigger discs.
