Brake lines on the blue car are nearly finished now.

Engine and transmission are ready to lift out of the pink car.

Hoping to have the front suspension swapped over this weekend and the engine and transmission ready to drop back in. Then it's on the home straight!

Some more progress! Although I have been a little slowed down by pulling the muscles across the middle of my back. :problem:

Anyway... pulled the suspension from both cars this morning and fitted the parts from the pink car to the blue one. Also put some new engine mounts on the blue car as it's a lot easier with the suspension removed!

More progress today...

The motor and transmission are out of the pink car and on a pallet waiting to be cleaned up.

The clutch master cylinder has been installed in the blue car - not all that simple as you have to remove the brake booster and pedal assembly as well. I also had to make some adjustments to the clutch pedal and push rod and make a new bush for the clutch pedal as well. Stu mentioned that he was getting through clutches quickly and I don't think there's enough stroke on the master cylinder to completely release it due to the way the mechanism has been set up. I've made some adjustments which should help, but time will tell.

The next thing is to remove the front of the blue car and clean the engine up. Then it can be dropped in and everything can start going back together again.

Looking forward to seeing if the clutch mods work.. I assume last pic is the pedal bush you made ?

Sure is...

I think the issue is that due to the angle of the push rod it binds up on the pedal before the full stroke of the m/c is reached. It probably only gets about 1/2 stroke. If that can be increased a bit then I reckon it would work a lot better. Just having a look to see if I can improve it somehow.

It looks like where it was mounted is too low, based on this photo of a conversion kit. I've already moved it onto the blue car, so might have to get creative!

There's some lovely complex conversion around now that didn't exist 7 years ago when mine was done, like this:
