Car Details:2010 2SS in Yellow with Black stripes!!!

Hi,
Am awaiting delivery of a 2010 Camaro 2ss, in yellow with black stripes on the boot and bonnet!!

I must confess that I am NOT as a general rule a Camaro fan...I actually wanted a Challenger but the dealer marked it up that much, that I walked out his dealership into a Chevvy dealership!!!
Like the look of the first gen cars but the rest do nowt for me -sorry!!!
Have recently been posted to Canada......hence the Camaro, when in Rome.........

Really lookin forward to some banter and maybe a meet when I get posted back to Europe at the end of this posting (yes, the car will come with me!!)

Hello Beef,

And a biker too i see :-) Well at least i can forgive you for insulting my 2nd gen :-) I am long out the army and so have chosen to post myself to Surrey. I hope you enjoy your posting, it is a military posting i assume, so that will give you six months to own your car and you wont have to pay UK tax... excellent :-)

I actually feel excited for you.... man, a new camaro... i bet it will be fantastic!

Good luck in canada, it is quite nice there i hear :-)

Hi, thanks for the replies...yes it's a 2 year posting, I paid the rrp-no mark up (unlike the quote I was offered on the challenger-$47000rrp I was quoted $60000....I walked!!)
Obviously Canada is more than America-but hey
Have never been to the TT-never been able to get time off, it is on my things to do list..........but I cannot stand stinkwheels-how people get excited about thte smell is beyond me to

Manx grand prix week's great, I used to do the 2 day trial the weekend before race week and stay on to watch the racing with my dad

my dads on his way over next weekend, he's just bought a new harley for the trip so there goes my inheritance lol

I have some great memory's of the TT and some pretty bad ones too, I used to work for a few race teams as a mechanic, our last win there was the '03 supersport.
Dont miss the evening and early morning practises, these mixed in with some late nights working and late nights drinking really screw your head up by the end of the week

No room on the bike, pop's promised to take my mum this time

a few months ago we were planning on coming over in the camaro but I haven't managed to get it finished in time :(

its a long story how I came to work for race teams but basically started doing some fabrication work for V+M racing that turned into a full time job, then V+M turned into Triumph Valmoto, then when the Triumph contract ended I did a while with AIM racing with some work for the Foggy Petronas team mixed in.

the 2003 supersport race was one of the highlights for me because it was a last minute decision to run Bruce Anstey and there was only me and a mate prepping one bike in the corner of the garage (compared to the major effort for Moodie and Mcguinness)
Good Times

ps. the guy we used to borrow a double garage off on the estate just below the paddock field was into classic cars, mini's and TR7s I think, he used to move out and let us in for a few weeks.
