I'm giving serious consideration to doing this properly.

So, SJE (SJ Engineering) is being born...

I've done a lot of engines, transmissions and various bits for people on the side over the past few years and everyone seems happy with their stuff. So I'm thinking about trying to take it a bit more seriously and see how it goes.

SJE can offer...

Transmission rebuilds - for a start this will be limited to GM Powerglide, TH350, 700R4, 4L60/4L60E and 4L80E ranging from stock rebuilds right through to serious high power racing applications. All proven combos that I know work. Standard 3 month warranty for street applications. All are rebuilds on your existing core until such time I have built up stock of good cores, at which point I will be able to offer them on outright/exchange basis. Prices starting from £500. Collection and delivery services available at additional costs. Build times will be approx 4 weeks.

Engine rebuilds - again initially this will be limited to GM SBC, BBC and LS motors - again stock to full race. Any spec you like really and happy to discuss or recommend. Again rebuilds will initially be on your existing core unless you specifically wish me to source. Again 3 month warranty on street motors. Basic rebuilds will start at £650. Collection and delivery services will be available. Build times will be approx 4 weeks.

Engineering services - cylinder head porting, engine block machining, custom pulleys, fuel rails, EFI conversions, Megasquirt and Megashift conversions. General fabrication work, custom exhausts (not including headers)

Other services - engine and transmission removal/swaps and a whole host of general stuff.

Obviously I can combine services. If there's anything you need just get in touch...

If you want to see some of my work, pick up a copy of the August edition of American Car Mag and check out the Orange '80 Camaro on the cover.

Subframe connectors, g-braces, solid body bushes, carbon hood and front bumper, custom door cards, Autometer gauges.

I would definitely be talking to you but for the distance between us. Finding good machinists these days is very hard.
I really hope you make a success of this if you do go ahead and once word spreads about your capabilities, they will travel to you from afar. HTH
Cheers, Martin

I'll be getting some business cards etc printed up soon. And also need to get some livery done for my truck....

Great news , that's a fantastic list of services right there ! Should attract a wide range of customers with all those on offer .
Good looking truck as well that will help get the new venture noticed .
Good engineering services are hard to find, once you get a few customers the word should spread .
