 Hi Guys, Im sorry but as being a new member of this Forum Iam finding it like being in a padded cell talking to myself ! Surely there are enough Camaro owners in the UK and Europe to make this a decent forum to help each other , buy, swop, sell each others cars, bits etc, and support each other with our knowledge , technical, suppliers and promoting the Camaro and being able to get together to enjoy the cars we love, I apologies for the negative but surely our cars and enthuasiasm for owning them should get more support !!! All credit to the people keeping this site going but without your help its not going to be here !!! Thanks to All
:chevy:

I am also new here but try and do my bit to participate. I hope for the same also, but not everyone has the time or inclination to do so.

However if those of us who are up for the challenge keep up the banter, support and updates, plus meet up at events etc we might help expand the club further.

Yep, we do try... but it seems a lot of Camaro owners, unlike Mustang/Corvette etc seem to keep themselves to themselves..
It has been a very useful tech source for many, and lots of people do come and go, but we keep slogging away..

I'm pretty sure that Camaro owners are the introverts of the car world. And our cars tend to need less attention it seems

We have some events coming up this year (existing events that we're tagging onto as a club) that will hopefully bring up a few owners together into the same place and spur some more activity on here.

Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

 Thanks for the replies and I can appreciate that some owners dont want to promote the fact they own a classic muscle car !!!
however I think it is to all our advantage to help each other and promote club events ! Iam going to Stars n Stripes this year and would love to see the club promoted and our cars shown together, all though I can only make the sunday it would be great to see a club presence at this show and hope to hear from other members :chevy: excuse any spelling mistakes as my brain works faster than my fingers

Other events- in the Future events section
You will see that Butch and Camilla will be taking part this summer (in Chrono order) in:

Chomondeley Pageant of Power
Goodwood FOS
Chateau Impney

there are many such events going on in which we spread the word (Camaro is best)!

in the distant past we tried to organise Camaro participation- it was like herding cats- so the plan now is to ensure that Camaro owners know which events in which Camaros are taking part so that they can themselves decide whether they can make it. More a question of information dissemination to All

TCB Racing is fortunate that this year we have been invited to so many events and hope to put on a suitable show for CCCUK Members to enjoy!

Agreed! And as TC says, trying to organise dedicated meets in the past has proven troublesome. It seems the way forward would be for a member to put a post up for any events they are planning on going to. Then it should make it easy to gather a few other members at those events. Firebird68 and a few others normally post up when they are going to the heart & magpie, or ace cafe. Seems like a good habbit to do for all events that are coming up.

For branding stuff, that could be up for discussion. I have a pill up sail flag that we use for events like speedfest, would be a bit expensive to send it back and forth due to size. If there are some ideas for branding for meets that happen in different areas,i can share the high res logo to have something made up.

I'll be at Ace Cafe this Monday 9th.. It's monthly Petrolhead Nirvana/Fueltopia meet.. getting quite busy now and weather is good, expect a big turnout.. Mix of every kind of car - Japs, classics, yanks, modern supercars etc..

There's only a small number of active members on here - there really aren't that many Camaro's in the UK and to be honest most of the action in the Facebook groups these days... I was talking to my parts supplier about it recently.

However there's still a lot of good stuff posted on here :)

It's not a massive forum like Retrorides, RodsnSods or whatever - but even those seem to be quieter than they were a few years ago with the advent of the Facebook groups.
