Camilla is now safely at home and running very well

We changed the starter motor for one of those mini starters as she was suffering from the heat soak issue that stiffens up the std GM starter

Also replaced (again) the coil- with a better one from Real Steel (blaster?) . The old coil had been placed on its side - which they never like

Also have found a matching 235 60 15 General Grabber front tyre

so she now starts when hot and runs clean
happy days
it now looks as though she may be asked to attend Goodwood Festival of Speed; for the launch of the 2017 Camaro

Last weekend we collected at the Grandstand and drove around the TT course on CLOSED Roads just ahead of the International Cycle races- starring the usual (some Manx like Kennaugh and Cavendish) cycle racers

Utter Bliss
Couldn't believe how many spectators were about- we followed a Delorean- I will post a video

Just drove her to work this morning with the top down as the weather is A1- again she is running spot on after all the care and attention. Bliss part 2

But I see that my GMC camper has a bad gearbox oil leak all over driveway

just goes to show that these old cars are like maintaining the Forth Road Bridge!!

Managed to change the distributor today on Camilla- having numbered the leads so as not to muck it up

I have a slight misfire when engine is hot- my diagnosis is a hairline crack in the distributor- since they cost so little (£11) I thought it worth trying!
