Dear Team
In all my ramblings I couldn't find a dedicated Butch update mechanically speaking- there is plenty of action where he is invited to events etc elsewhere

Anyway a change of plans has meant that we can now do the Manx Classic- next week- which you may recall we aborted last year with broken clutch

Butch has been in mothballs since then- as I had some house leak dramas to cope with as well as Camilla and the Camper needing attention- 2015 was a rotten year for TopCat finances

So we dusted him down- and since then I have been melting the plastic to get things ordered

First of all the team fitted my new clutch - a 7 1/4 inch triple plate unit from Tony Tewson of superclutch 01926 812136 they say is has more meat in it than before- so should give better starts and hopefully more driveability

But we needed
new centre exhaust- the below was the first Dr Gas X pipe in the UK- which we put on in 1990- certainly lasted well!
So have ordered a new stainless centre system from these guys
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHEVROLET-CAM ... e#shpCntId

Also needed new brake discs all round- which we have- had to order the fixing bolts from Rally Design (who supply Willwood equipment
01795 531871

Real Steel came to the rescue for a new set of Moroso spiral plug leads and they have a new type of Centre breathing air cleaner assy to replace my K&N system made by Edelbrock it is half the price of the K &N (still £60) (01895) 440505

Finally as it is due to be wet next week- I had to order 1 x Michelin TB15 - to make up the set - bought from Vintage Tyres on (0845) 1200711 - don't ask the price)!

Other contacts that have proved spot on Pete Stafford from US Automotive on 01234 273155- who supplied Camilla's mini starter
these guys for the correct OEM looking wipers for Butch and Camilla
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221054792445? ... EBIDX%3AIT

Friend of mine has given me a set of brand new Ridgard racing seats- which may or may be get fitted in time (in return for me entering him at Cholmondeley POP!) Good turn etc

Huge expense - but we do have an action packed summer season coming up and he has to be ready for these events

I give all my phone numbers of the contacts and experts I have used for years- they are the best and the best kit from the right people is the sort of info this website seeks to provide! Hope this is useful?

Oh dear it seems Butch has been misbehaving incrementally for a while now!

He lists to the left and the corner weights seem skewed ! Overall weight is up 100 kg since 2007 HOW?

I think that I have been driving round the problem for some time

lots to do here in short order before CHPOP

wish I had more time and more funds...................
