Welcome!

For engine oil most people use 10w40 viscosity. Try and find an oil with high zinc & phosphor content. I think Mobil x2000 has a ppm of a bout 1,200 for each, which is the minimum you would want on a flat tappet cam. Usually if it says "petrol and diesel" it has a higher zinc and phosphor content (X2000 is petrol and diesel). Some folks also use valvoline racing 20w50.

Brake fluid wise dot 3 and above but if you can get dot 4 even better. I use Castrol racing dot 4 (posted link in another article recently) and it's only about £13 per litre. Best to flush the whole system. Be careful not to go for a specific race only brak4 fluid as it doesn't mix with normal fluid.

Transmission wise most ATF will be ok, as long as it's an unknown brand it will be ok.

For GM transmissions use Dexron.

If trans fluid is not dark in colour and doesn´t smell burnt it doesn´t have to be changed.

ATF is Dexron III - don't use anything else. Any brand will work - I use Triple QX as its pretty cheap and works well.

Brake fluid, dot 4 is fine and compatible with all the seals - just buy the generic dot 4, it's about £7/litre. Always use fresh, and throw it away after 6 months - it doesn't keep in the bottle once it's opened as it absorbs water.

Oil - use semi-synthetic 10w40 and a zinc additive if you have a flat tappet cam.
