I know his replacement very well, Charlie Sloth is a good friend and took over on radio one extra from Tim Westwood, I can see how he comes across though if you don't know him but that's genuinely the way he speaks. He is actually a very down to earth nice guy, knew him long before he became a radio DJ , if I didn't know him though I would probably find him annoying. Westwood was portrayed as an underground dj in the late 80's early 90's but I don't know anyone who remembers him from that era at all, another well known drag racer and aquaintance called Paul marston who runs a drag racing school owns black box productions who were and still are responsible for many of the old raves , rain dance is one of them

That's the name! Apologies - didn't mean to cause any offense, especially if you know him personally and are good friends with him, sorry!

I only knew of Tim Westwood through Radio 1, come to think of it never thought about his days before radio 1 or how he got there.

Heard good things about the raves back in the day, i've got some helter skelter and word dance cassette tapes around somewhere!

No offence taken, as I said I can see how he comes across as a bit of a plum if you don't know him, I was there at the beginning of the rave scene and knew the people who set up the acid house warehouse raves in the late 80's, we did have a lot of fun until thatchers mob brought out their new laws to make it all illegal, they don't like seeing people having fun I suppose, Sloth got to where he is through pure hard work and perseverance and don't get a leg up the ladder so to speak in any way, he did a few funny rap videos of his own, the one I like is called "a guided tour of Camden " which is where he grew up http://youtu.be/L11O1GKfTko

That's what I thought but his name was bandied around as being a top dj in the underground rave scene, even released a few cd's with proper old school stuff like altern8 and bizzare inc on, I was never into hip hop

50 K an episode, as if the Rawlings empire needs any more capital!
