The BS never stops. Been working on the heater unit all weekend only to find at the last moment it's not going to be finished this weekend. The issue is the pipes on the new unit are about 1/3 of an inch closer together than they should be Won't fit through the firewall holes during a test fit, also can't clamp it into the heater box as the clamp is designed to sit in the middle of the 2 pipes. What can be done about this? :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

This was supposed to be a 2-3 hour job

No chance of sorting out the leaking transmission this weekend

Also the carpet is still wet. Had a 3kw heater on it for about 3 hours trying to dry it out.

Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

New holes in the firewall and a big tie strap or band clamp to hold it together? But difficult to help without pictures

I'll have to try and upload some pics shorty. My phone has decided it doesn't want to connect to my computer anymore, so i have to dismount the mini sd card, find a mini sd to sd to usb card reader. Cool.

I thought about widening the firewall hole but don't fancy the idea too much. It's a super awkward place as well. The clamp is one that lays down flat between the two pipes to retain it. Unfortunately as they are so much closer together, the clamp is too wide. I'll try and get some pics uploaded... Dealing with Rockauto at the moment to get a different make sent through. This will be fun...

Well, i did a pressure test and it seems that the leak is coming from the inlet / outlet tube that joins to the body.

Flakmonkey suggested giving soldering a try, so will give that a try during the week.

Loving the lack of progress. All weekend, didn't actually get anything done.

The last time I did brazing was at school.....yikes.....you need a lot of heat and brazing rods, like welding rods....
