Welcome to the club! That looks lovely inside and out. Looks like a custom finish console as there appears to be custom stitching going along it. Seats look really great too, someones given that car a lot of tlc!

You're not far from me either, i work in Uxbridge, if you ever see a 3rd gen (cough trans am cough), maroon with silver ground effects that'll be me  I have a '79 Camaro which should be MOT'd around March time, so look forward to meeting up at Ace Cafe and other events!

Thank you! I wholeheartedly agree, she looks fantastic inside and out and I am very happy! I was gutted to sell the Mustang so it is nice to finally own another classic American :)

Uxbridge is very close, I live in Ruislip Manor so will keep my eye out for you. I have no allegiance to any particular brand as I just love nearly all classic cars, especially American ones, to me it doesn't matter if it is Ford, GM or Mopar, each has cars worthy of our adoration!

Interestingly while I was surfing the net and looking at American car dealer sites, I found details of my car under past sales from a garage which I assume sold it to the previous owner.

http://www.retroclassiccar.com/popup_ca ... rpicid=562

All I can say is thank god the interior was re-trimmed since then!! :)

I have the original magazine adverts from when mine was sold a few times in the uk along with all the original paperwork from the dealer who sold it etc. My friend had a car just like yours in the 1980's that was purple with a cream stripe down the side, looked the part 30 years ago! Next time I see him I'll get the reg number as in sure it is still about somewhere but with a new paint job, it might even be the same one you have :-)

Could be! I really don't have a lot of the past history so it was nice to find it on this site and learn a little more.

I know its been in the UK since 1984, and that the owner prior to the one who owned it before me has it for 17 years, so from about 1995.
