I had a 2nd Gen F-bird with T's. I think they were Hurst.

Took them out about twice in 3 years and they always leaked no matter what I tried.

That kind of answered my next question then

I have Hurst T Tops and the seals are missing. I read that they did a recall as they leaked so badly. Debating whether or not to replace it and leave as the first design, or purchase the very costly upgrade kit. It involves a bit of extra work but it sounds like a much better seal. Ideally it won't ever see rain but that's probably not a good thing to bet on.

No T-Tops on mine, but someone at some point has fitted an aftermarket Webasto style sunroof.

Not something I would do personally but it does work and doesn't appear to be rusty. Since its already fitted I might as well make use of it in the summer!

That's an interesting roof - i've not seen a Camaro setup like that. Does your by change have an Antwerp plate riveted onto the firewall? It's a rectangular silver plate and sits between the heater box and engine.

I have seen very few cars with a roof like this, let alone a classic Camaro! It looks like a good job inside too.

I will have to look if there is one of those plates next time I get chance. I have very little documentation with the car, but I do know its been in the UK since 1984, and have a lot of old MOTs. It has done about 27k miles since being imported, 9k of those on a rebuilt engine.

My 77 has hurst tops...the original seals were sun damaged by years of texas rays..and the vendor very kindly purchased and fitted new ones...althoigh the t toos had also warped slightly so the seals had to have sections added to try to get best seal..i think it was just one of those concepts which sounded and looked great but as the years go by..the body changes as do the t tops..so a perfect seal is nye on impossible
