Car Details:1989 Camaro 2.8 V6 with a 5 speed Manual gearbox
1971 Camaro SS V8 454 Big Block
Location:Nottingham
Hi guys, looking for some advice on what starter to get, I have a 71 SS with a 454 instead of the 396. The Transmission is a TH400 3 speed Auto.
Would really appreciate the help.

A high torque mini starter would be a good idea. They're lighter, smaller and more efficient than the stock starter motor. I use one on my ZZ4 350 c.i I'm very happy with the result.

These guys carry them, but obviously they're across the pond...

As for what specific starter motor you'll require, I'm afraid I don't know. I'm sure someone on here will be along shortly with advice :)

Ray (78 Camaro) is your man for starters, having boiled his brain trying to work out what fits what recently.. :D

Start by finding the manufacturers original equipment
