There's a guy on here (Kev) selling a very nice original and clean 2nd gen (z28 if i remember right). I think it's still on ebay, circa £11k, burgundy colour.

2nd gens are definitely more rare these days.

4th gens get you the most bang for your buck as they go for probably the lowest prices. 3rd Gens are starting to pick up a bit in value as they are becoming future classics. 2nd gens are starting to pick up more value as they are at the tail end of being future classics and heading into being classics. 1st Gen of course are the highest price and definitely classed as classics, making it unaffordable for more people, turning them towards 2nd gens (the most sought after being 70-73 2nd gens).

A quick ebay search brings up 3 2nd gens, with the cheapest being:

Without reading too much into it, it does seem overpriced... looks like a good amount of work has gone into it - it may be worth that when finished but even then, you could get a running one cheaper from the U.S, including import & transport.

You should be able to find something in decent shape for around 5k, 74-81 Camaro's. 70-73 you would need to budget quite a bit more. You just need to wait for the right car. Sometimes there doesn't seem to be much about for sale and then 3-4 pop up at once. Keep checking EBay and Pistonheads
