Rusty headers are such a common thing... ceramic coating from new or stainless is the only real solution, but costs big bucks either way... i had a quote of about £800 for some 1 3/4" stainless headers.

Looks like a great fix what you've done though....
Thanks :)

£800.00 is a fair amount of cash. Can stainless manifolds be bought for a,cheaper price in the USA?

These are £393 based on current exchange rates. http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/h ... del/camaro

Plus shipping, plus 20%VAT and Import duty.

VAT and import should add about £120, making it about £510. I reckon about £60 for shipping? So looking at approx £570. Better than £800 but still quite a lot for some bent tubing.

Not sure how long regular headers last... mine have been on for about 2 years (without use). i reckon maybe 3-5 years? Say 5 years. Economically speaking you could buy 6x pairs of regular steel headers from somewhere like real steel and that will get you through the next 30 or so years, for the cost of a stainless set. See if somewhere like Real Steel, Top Speed or similar can get you a stainless set. Hopefully they can get a better deal on shipping etc. so you may end up in the £300/ 400 zone.

How to post pics: When writing a message, scroll down and use the "attach file" option. Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

My Hedman 1 3/4" headers cost about £220 about 6 years from Real Steel and have around 20k miles on them, and still are solid, but definitely nothing like as good condition as the full stainless exhaust which is a year older...

Optional air con was specced for my car. Due to the lack it not being hooked and lack other componentary it doesn't work. The A/C suit case had some splits in it too...

...so out it came yesterday...

Tried my best to remove it intact but access and clearance for tools to remove was limited, came out easy enough ;)

A/C master delete kit should be here later this month :)

Chose the master kit over standard since my interior fan motor is failing. Included a new heater matrix which was a bonus :)
