I thought some of you guys might enjoy this short video of Nick's racing Camaro when it came down to the workshop last month for a once-over before the start of the HSCC season

https://youtu.be/RnQADBlw5d0

there are some other interesting videos there as well, particularly if you're a Mopar fanboy. ;)

NIce stuff.. Looks like a pretty original car... Most now have very modified suspension, bigger wheels/brakes etc..

Yes and don't they look so much better without all the 'restomod/PrOTouRing' junk on them? I can personally vouch for how well that car goes, without the red-painted bling that so many put faith (and money) in. Originally a 396 SS car it now sports a fruity 350 and is all the better for it. We will do battle again soon......................
Cheers, Martin

Yeah, but pretty don't go fast. Bit like the old 'If it doesn't go, chrome it' saying.
Stealth bombing is the way forward. Walk softly and carry a big stick etc. Heh Heh. :shifty:
Cheers, Martin

Car Details:68 pontiac firebird coupe project car,my aim is a street friendly, lightly modified pro.touring style.
Lowered ,mild body mods,400 cu in SBC engine, Muncie 4speed, 10 bolt posi axle, disc front drum rear.
68 firebird convertible ( long term project) Stock resto/mod style ,400 pontiac th350
Always nice to see racers that bring back the spirit of the '60s Trans Am series 8-)
Sometimes think with the modern updates it is merely a contest to prove who has the largest wallet ...
If you feel the need to alter too much on your ride ,you probably bought the wrong car.
With the right car there isn't the need to alter things as they got most of it right when GM built it .
Less is more
