Interesting find with the dime... They found a chipmunk skeleton in the rear of mine when doing the roll cage...

Thanks That certainly tops my Dime find, quite surprising to find a skeleton!! Intending one using Bradley's materials to dye the rest of the interior also, the visors did turn out well

How did you find getting stuff from Rick's Camaros? They managed to get a simple order for lens covers wrong and I'm waiting to hear how they are going to deal with it. I could be paying import taxes twice if I'm not careful.

The jury is out on that one at the moment. I've had the parts shipped to STS in Gt. Leighs just up the road from my location. Hopefully the parts made it on to the container in time for March otherwise it'll be April before I find out.

Finished in silver hammerite after wire brushing and Kurust.

Driver's side lower dash removed...



Struggling a little with the passenger side and as such may re-spray it in situe.

This is looking great! Floorboards are in great condition, looks like it's been well looked after
Liquid plastic has come out really nice too, the right shade, looks stock!

When are you expecting the seat covers? From having installed them before, a couple of tips i can offer are to spray silicon grease onto the foam to help get the covers on (i bought some food grade silicone spray from ebay, stuff used for prepping baking trays, cup cake moulds etc). It just helps with getting the covers to manouvre and sit properly as it's a tight fit. The other tip would be to do it on a warm day, ideally when you can have the seat cover in the sunlight to help it be a bit more flexible. If you have a hand held steamer like they use in fabric shops, even better as this can help with getting rid of any creases.

Thanks, I'm really enjoying the work at the moment and this is coming from someone who only changes oil, filters and bulbs on their cars! Never have I had a go a dismantling a cars interior. Granted, the removal of the parts wasn't too difficult unlike modern day vehicles, but it's given me the confidence to tackle other jobs too.

Thanks for the tip regarding the seat covers. I've ordered the rears from Rick's Camaro's. Hopefully they'll be in transit soon via importer STS. Did you use hog ties to anchor the cover to the framework? Easy enough to do?
