 Post subject: gear box 700r4

i need a gear box, mines nackered, ive been told a th350 for an iroc 5.0 is no good as the ecu tells it when to change and that the right one is the 700r4
unless i put a carb on it to run the th350

Matt,
Turbo 350 will shift mechanically without computer input. The 4-prong plug that 700-r4 has a
pressure signal sensor, brake signal sensor,torque converter lockup cancel signal. using the turbo 350
will not have provisions for the plug used in 700r-4. you may have a speedo issue as well. But she will work!! put in one of those b&m Shift kits and she will chip the tires when she upshifts...kinda cool !
u-joints dont live thier anticipated lifespan, but heck ya only live once !!!!!
