It may be a moot point

http://www.claimsjournal.com/news/natio ... 248279.htm

Start with trucks then move on the cars/bikes

The MyKey system is used on the major car rental company vehicles, which limit the top speed to 80MPH

These devices fitted in private vehicles will need to communicate by GPS to log or report speeds, same as a gps tracker device which is allegedly pretty infallible until you google "GPS jammer" and discover that for £30 you can buy a small device that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket and jams it completely. My last company had a similar device fitted to their vehicle and 9/10 they put the transmitter under the dashboard where it has an unobstructed (by metal) view of the satellites. I got a copy of the Bible from a junk shop and left it On The dash, I was with them for a year and had them convinced that I gave off electromagnetic radiation as a freak train that affected electronic devices near me at random as they could never track my movements

thanks for all the replies they have been really helpful.

i also need to try and gain an understanding as to why people will choose a camaro over other muscle cars.

so in terms of yourself, what attracted you to the camaro over other options like the mustang or challenger?

I haven't chimed in yet, but having owned a 1986 IROC for 7 years, and 1977 track day camaro for over 11 years my opinion is pretty much like everyone else... It's a combination of looks, noise, old school basic engineering, power, the individuality in the UK, and £'s for thrills that these cars have....

Other cars such as turbo'd smaller engined may have the same power to weight, but it's a very different kind of delivery. Modern turbo diesels have amazing torque but it's a different less fluid power delivery too. Smaller lighter cars are a completely different experience, currently running a Formula 27 too (Caterham type kit thing) I can vouch it's very feeling, and nothing like as addictive....

Manufacturers are turning to smaller engined turbo cars mainly to fall within more restrictive emissions regs, but even then the actual real world figures are skewed and often don't actually work out better or more efficient than a bigger engine at lower revs in my opinion.

Challenger, lovely cars just bloody expensive. I would consider one over a Camaro but I would have to be a rich man to be in that position!

Mustang, thats a dirty word on this forum be careful  Not for me. Far too over assisted on steering. With the 90's Camaros I've had the equivalent Mustangs are slower, less powerful and don't handle as well.

Ha Ha! Funny. Well if any of you Ford-bashing Camaro owners think you are hard enough, why don't you come racing (not 'trackday') and see how you get on? Seems like everyone talks the talk these days......... :lolno:
Cheers, Martin
