Hello all,

I'm very likely gonna do this modern classics trackday with Motorpunk on 1st May.
It's supposed to be 18 - 30, so cars from 1984 to 1996 but they let anything interesting and not too new come along in reality, was good fun last year, and great mix of cars, and very cheap for a track day at £89..

more details here..

Hi Stu, I'm looking to do a few track days this year and have yet to pop my cherry, that one seems a bit of a trek? Hw long did it take you to get there last time? Google is telling me 2 1/2-3 hrs !

it's about 150 miles from me in Wembley.. from memory it was about 2.5 hours down the A1...
I might go up the night before and get a cheap BnB like some do... I'm actually working on the Friday night so would have to leave at 4 ish to get back anyway..

Brands Hatch is nearer and cheap days there pop up all the time.. but this one is a giggle with all the older cars, no Stig wannabes and more relaxed atmosphere...

Just had an email from the organisers, stating last chance if anyone fancies it needs to send money and book their space... I'm sending payment tonight

Cheers for posting this Stu. I would be up for but only if i had the Camaro up and running. The last Tunnel Run scared me when the TA stopped working, as i don't have a way to get to work with if something happened to it. Keep us updated for any future ones later this year

Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

Forgot to do a follow up on this....

Had another fun day, but in the kit car this time as the Camaro isn't on the road at the moment.... Drove up the night before as I didn't fancy a 150 mile drive in a go kart at 5am, followed by a track day, then 150 miles home then straight to work.. It went well, didn't overheat, lose brakes and behaved well..

Some great cars again, and quite alot from the previous year, Chevy powered Supra, TR8 race car, Bently Turbo, a few MX5's ... plus a Saab turbo rear engined Reliant Kitten, that was quicker than anything else, a lovely V12 E-type, Escort mexico, few BMW's, Porche 944 turbo, Lotus Eclat...

write up article and pics here:
