The discs do look the nuts topped off with the red corvette calipers, it was already done when I brought it but had to replace the discs as one was warped so I can't comment on how it was compared to standard. I can however tell you it stops on a dime and gives back change :D
There is a thread I posted on here a few weeks back about the subject and the previous owner (Jimbo) who did the initial conversion and another member went right through what was involved so could tell you better than I can what you need and where from, I have the 17" ZR1 wheels and they only just fit inside, my discs were powerstop from America and are drilled and vented with ceramic pads but Jimbo and co will tell you what to order from the uk which will save you a few quid on what I paid

Ferdi, you've had more wheels than me !!!

Anyhow, I ran BMW M3 from a 2004 model with hubcentric rings for years,
then I refurbed a set of orignially chrome american racing 'rebel' wheels.

Car Details:1986 Camaro, bought into Spain by me in 1993.
305 replaced by a 355, 750 Demon carb, RPM AirGap intake, Brodix heads, Hedman Hedders, 3" Flowmaster exhaust.
Wheels are Summit aluminium 5 spokes, tyres are 245 rear 225 front BF Goodrich.
B/M transmission, battery relocated to the rear, GoodMark 4" cowl steel hood.
Location:Spain East Coast
I can´t for the of me understand why BMW wheels would be an alternative.
Stock or after market but not BMW.

Oh look.....an American car.....with BMW wheels, everyone will know.

The black car with the blacked out (or "murdered" :lolno: ) Rebel wheels looks the part. :thumbup:

They don't have to be actual BMW wheels... just BMW fitment..... like mine are :D
Just so much cheaper and easier to source, and more choice.. !

exactly, even though the BMW M3 wheels on mine were genuine I made new centre caps, and yeah some people know but they were 8 inch 9J wheels, not the crappy chrome 5 spoke 16 toy wheels the car comes with. The point is the bmw pcd is ~120 and fits chevy bolt pattern, and actually are easier as Chevy-Stu says to go into a store and order some BMW fitment wheels with a custom offset, otherwise they look at you blank when you say chevy camaro wheels !!!!

I do prefer my AR rebels, but they've cost as much as 2 bmw sets after the paint sorting them out (i'd buy the bmw pulled straight off an M3 with decent tyres, and then sell them when the tyres are done, and buy another set, so didnt loos that much on tyres). The ARs have had me buy 7 tyres from part warn to new at 200 a tyres and then the refurb that I did but still had to get tehm painted right etc etc. But they do have a 3-4 inch deep dish and are awesome. They are actaully corvette fittment so they go over my vette discs in front and have a +24 offset I believe so they stick out and fill the arches more :)

They fill the arches perfectly, the car even looks lowered.

I did twisted SS conversion when I owed it. Being a LT1 car (ie the good looking one) the original brakes were awful and the move to corvette made a HUGE difference.

the conversion is easy once you have sourced all the correct parts - although as you will see in the thread from Twisted, there were some unresolved issues.
