Suggests I may also have a slight problem, my gauge always sits around 50ish
Hmm, i wonder if the gauge on the dash is accurate / taking a misreading? Can you get a second temp gauge hooked up (ideally around the spot) to verify it? Hopefully it's just a misreading. Then again, if the fans are running after a while, but it's only showing around 50c, then something sounds a bit strange

You moved and jiggled the wire, could need a new connector soldering on.
Yep, must be a dry joint or something then. I reckon it will resurface again when i change the spark plugs as i'll be rummaging around in that part of the engine bay. Will be removing the air tubes to get a bit of extra room too.

Check out his other electrical parts and tips.
I was looking at the headlight one actually as it's something i've heard of before. Makes sense to do this and i'm surprised it's not something that was done at the factory, as it makes a lot of sense to not run that much current through the car, instead having it localised to the shortest path. Going to do this on the Camaro for sure. It has HID / Xenon / Halogen whatever type bulbs and apparently that can burn out the factory loom, so going with relays becomes a safety thing too:

How to post pics: When writing a message, scroll down and use the "attach file" option. Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

I´ve got a whole bunch of relays, all out of MadElectrical, I must admit though the headlight one did´nt deliver
as much as I expected.
