Got there in the end, after a lot of ball-ache and heartstopping moments.

1968, 250CU, 4 speed manual, and (wait for it) right hand drive!! More pictures to follow.

Any advice for a newbie will be gratefully received :) For instance how to stop it blowing hot air into the cabin all the time!?!

Ooh I'm liking that! Hope you're not going to with blingrims and all the usual tat that everyone seems to want these days. Looks just right as it is.
Cheers, Martin

It feels pretty original, so I want to keep it that way. I'm a traditionalist.

Here's more photos I promised:

Yeah, sorry about those pictures. How did you do that? (Full newbie here!)

I've thought about the v8, but a lot of that depends on how original the rest of the car is. I really want to keep it that way if possible. The paperwork is so limited. I know the carpets are new. I really want to believe that the rest of the interior is original though.

Yes, RHD - I was told it was first registered in Australia, so the conversion would have been done by Holden, pre-sale. I would like to find out the Australia history of the car - does anyone know how I'd go about that?

I did it with PhotoShop CS2 available now as a free download.

http://www.techspot.com/downloads/3689- ... p-cs2.html

BTW it´s best to "right click" links and open in a new tab or page.

Another edit....

Here´s an Australian forum dedicated to US Muscle.

Here´s an incredible build on USmuscle.com.au

He rebuilds the Camaro and converts it himself to right hand drive.

Awesome links. Thanks for those.

Is there a car club worth becoming a member of in the UK? Either a specific Camaro one or maybe a generic American car owners one...? Cheers

Fitting a V8 won't be easy if the steering colom is on the right, seen a few of these in the 80's and 90's but not many around now, I thought that Holden called them something different? other than Camaro I mean? I have seen a V8 but the exhaust manifold was an odd looking thing, on the normal versions the motor is offset too the right a little?

Very smart looking car though I saw it for sale and was tempted but I've got to many cars already.
