Hello everyone,

RockAuto is looking for a few good cars to transform into magnets (http://www.rockauto.com/info/MagPack/Detail.html)! We ship these magnets to customers worldwide and distribute them at car events. Send us a photo of your vehicle to be considered for the new series of RockAuto magnets. It doesn't matter what kind of vehicle you have.... we welcome them all! Please send a high resolution photo, a brief history of your car, and what parts you have purchased from RockAuto to marketing@rockauto.com.

And forum members have a discount code that can be used on http://www.rockauto.co.uk:

5% Discount Code: 7FE81D027E0B6B
Expires: January 3rd, 2015

Please enter this code in the ‘How Did You Hear about Us’ box to receive discount. Please note that orders using discount codes must be placed online and the discount code must be entered before an order is submitted to receive the discount. Phone orders are not eligible for discounts.

If you have a question about parts or an order, please visit our FAQ and/or Order Status & Returns page, or send us an email at service@rockauto.com.

We don't have any in-warehouse pickups because our warehouses are not store fronts. Everything must be shipped.

Ahh, my bad, for one moment I thought you were in the UK! So the bargain clutch price I found on your website will be more than double your list price by the time shipping, import duties and VAT are added , which is a shame as the bargain isn't such a bargain anymore, does your discount code include the P&P charges as well? Is there a feature to combine shipping costs on your website if I order more than one item? Is everything shipped in from America or are some parts dispatched from Europe?

I've ordered from Rockatuo before... here's some help on some of the questions you asked:
Quote:

On the top of the webpage there's a tickbox for included VAT... look to see if it's checked or not... if it was checked, then the prices you saw included VAT :) If not, tick it and it will add the 20%. No customs etc. to add on as they are a registered VAT collections agency etc.

Yes :)

Yes - it will combine when you go to the cart page, you then have several types of delivery i.e 3 day, 5-7, 11 etc. You can play about with the different options as it updates the final price straight away. If it's coming from different warehouses, it will indicate this by a lorry with 'A', 'B' etc to show which item is coming from which warehouse. You can then change items to try and get them all from one warehouse to make shipping cheaper. The cheapest option is 'economical' which combines other peoples orders going to the same destination so it ships bulk style.

America, they are based on the East side.

I've found that whilst the shipping price can be a little bit high, overall, the price is pretty decent and on par, or cheaper than UK resellers of parts.

You're welcome, glad it helps!

I will need to check my receipts about customs, but all of the vat , shipping etc was paid during the order stage.

I won't be back home for a little while so not had a chance to view receipts. I'm trying to think and i do remember getting a letter from parcel force to release the package. I think i paid ~£17 for about £80 worth of stuff.

Thanks to 78 Camaro for answering these questions. Just a few things to add:

-The 5% discount code applies to the part cost, but not to the shipping. Effectively, it gets applied to the duty/tax because your part cost is now lower.
-We do have some warehouses in the UK from where we ship parts. The shopping cart will always tell you if your order will be shipping internationally or not.
-We have warehouses located across the US (and some in other countries as I just pointed out), but we are headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin.

Thanks for your interest! You can always read up on other information by reading our FAQ page.
