Hi,
my 4th generation was running fine. I parked up one evening and couldn't get it started the next day.
Looking along the top of the block I noticed that a vacuum line had perished (or possibly been eaten by a mouse). This line was replaced but my problem was not solved.
I thought it could be the optispark (or whatever they call the distributor) as I have heard they are prone to give up when wet and it had rained a lot. I took off a plug lead, attached a plug and I have a spark. I therefore assume its not the problem.
Next guess then is the fuel pump, which was allegedly new on import.....and this is where I need help.....
I need to know if its working and if not why not.
I hope it wasn't a mouse that has munched through my electrics!
Fuses seem fine.
My battery is nearly flat now so I was going to ask if its a problem to disconect it, but this question has just been asked, so I'll wait for this to be answered on the previous thread.
The car has a low body kit, is parked nose to a wall, is an auto and will be a nightmare to get to a garage or to work under.
Cheers,
CHRIS
