Buying a '96 v8 from a dealer and I am hopefully collecting the car in a few days.

I asked for a loose section of headlining above the passenger door to be stuck down. Dealer won't do it as he says with age the lining becomes porous and glue will come through leaving an ugly mark.

Is he serious or just fobbing me off?

Sounds like this one to me:

:(

The material if my memory serves may be foam backed and over time it fall to pieces making glueing it a bit of a pain. If your paying big bucks get the dealer to either recover it completely OR knock off some £'s. If he don't walk away there's others out there.

I will have a look. I'm happy to do the job myself if I think I could do it. The car seemed ok and I would still like to have it. I'll see about getting some money off.
