I'd be interested in this too, getting closer to needing insurance!

Cool! I already have something with them, not sure what - maybe my bike. Do I smell a deal (discount?)
Cheers, Martin

OK My daughter phoned around 14 different companies are Footman James were the cheapest for me, Last year I was with RH and they were very good but I saved £60 by going with Footman James, BUT probably spent that on the phone :(

Anyway I think the main reason for the saving was that I insured two car and it came out at £265 for the pair which were, a 67 convertible Firebird and a 79 Z28 350.

If was insuring only on a single car policy my quote fro RH was £113 for the Firebird and £226 for the Z28, from memory

Footman James is the new potential deal!

My chum came back with the following:

"We were purchased recently and have a new parent, its been a while in setting things up under the new regime so forgive the delay. I am attending a new clubs inclusion meeting today as it happens and have your body in that mix.. I have not as far as I can find been sent the details as below for the Association. (You kindly told me some about Camaro Club although I don’t have the logo and images).
I am sure I clarified this to you when we originally spoke however, I need to confirm that the club is more than a simple Forum for interested parties please. The criteria we have for adopting clubs is one or more of the following:

1. A membership with some element of payment in joining
2. A regular periodical either snail mail or online
3. Occasional events where members meet in real time like AGM, National meeting etc..

We have always had a block on purely online based forums..

Anyway I have told him that the forum is just that - and that there is also a more formal club with Memberships and AGMs and fees etc

Hi TC,

For what it's worth, we had our first official club meet / stand at American Speedfest, flag and all  This looks like it will be an annual meetup, with more hopefully happening in the future.

Cheers for now...

Ray
