Hi all,

This could be our first official club gathering in a looong while :) ChevyStu recommended looking into this and i'm in talks with the Speedfest team to get us a club stand there. The main thing we need is to ensure we have at least 10 Camaro's (i'm sure we can sneak in a Poncho or 2 ;) in order for us to have a stand. So... who's in?

If you can confirm your attendance by replying to this thread, then as soon as we hit 10 i will start to make the arrangements.

Here's some event info, the biggest thing for me is that it's not a stand around a field type event, there's racing throughout the day, Bernie's V8's, NASCAR and more, plus, if we are there as a club, we get to drive around the circuit  :

1) The pass will also allow you to participate in parade laps around the circuit on the Sunday.
2) Entry for American car owners is free (saves £25!). The ticket covers the car and driver for the whole weekend but passengers will need to purchase a ticket. Children 12 and under are free.
3) The club will not have to attend the whole weekend - Club stands are on the Sunday although the pass that we send to American car owners will cover entry for the whole weekend. Members are more than welcome to come down and park up on the Saturday and watch some racing, the main event day will be on Sunday 8th.

Date: Sunday 8 June 2014
Location: http://www.speedfest.co.uk/venue-information.aspx
Brands Hatch Race Circuit
Fawkham, Longfield
Kent, DA3 8NG

Also, keep eyes peeled for the post about club t-shirts!

Hope to see you all there!

Cheers,

Ray

Car Details:1969 SS, originally a 396, now a 350. Never having raced an American V8 before, I am not the world's expert on Camaros ! But I read Road & Track and HotRod Magazine from the early Sixties (yes, it's the only thing I can rememberabout the 60s) and always wanted one.

Also race a 1965 Alfa GTA, and drive a 1938 Lancia Aprilia and a 1922 Talbot 8.
I would love to ... but I am racing the Chev at Snetterton HSCC that weekend. Very frustrating as I was hoping to meet some CCC'ers. Hope you all have a great time,
Nick

I'm in. Would coming along with Spinnybits in his '97 TA be an affrontery?

Looks good.
