US Muscle- 1968 Model Chevrolet Camaro and 1964 Ford Galaxie in thrilling racing set pieces.

Tim Boles, managing Director of Equilibrium Pensions holds an International Race licence and has been competing at the highest level in South Africa historic car racing every year since 2006.

Each year, he comes up against one of South Africa’s greatest living racing drivers- Sarel van der Merve.

The event highlight is held at Killarney Racetrack near Cape Town, and it was here that Tim Boles acting as principal driver for TCB Racing comes up against the experienced and wily Sarel van der Merwe the South African racing megastar who competes in a 1964 7.5 litre Ford Galaxie. Sarel won Daytona in 1984 and came third at Le Mans two years later.
This Ford Galaxie has been created as a tribute to Bobby Oltoff the racer of the 1960’s and is owned and prepared by Peter du Toit – owner of the Zwartkops racetrack near Pretoria.
Other nefarious drivers with a short drive-in mention should include Mark du Toit, son of Peter, who works as a banker in Johannesburg and is the driver of the cream Chevrolet Biscayne, not as wily as you will see.
The action you are about to see “... is good for another 1000 paying spectators next year!” according to local commentators.
