Hope that helps.

Car Details:1986 Camaro, bought into Spain by me in 1993.
305 replaced by a 355, 750 Demon carb, RPM AirGap intake, Brodix heads, Hedman Hedders, 3" Flowmaster exhaust.
Wheels are Summit aluminium 5 spokes, tyres are 245 rear 225 front BF Goodrich.
B/M transmission, battery relocated to the rear, GoodMark 4" cowl steel hood.
Location:Spain East Coast
The Throttle Body sits on top of the intake manifold, similar to a carb intake, and has the fuel injectors
mounted in it.Air passes through and mixes with fuel and the mix makes it´s way
down the intake runners to the intake valve and cylinder.

The Tuned Port meters the incoming air which enters the runners to the cylinders,
but here the fuel injectors are mounted in the runners nearer the intake valve.
You´ll see in the article below how the runners take a cleaner run to the cylinder head,
better than the winding runners on the TBI.

No, you cannot mount carbs on them.

As explained above but just to ad:
The TBI is sort of like carb but with injectors instead of jets, and looks similar, usually fitted on the lower power variants.
TPI is proper fuel injection with a front inlet intake plenum and seperate injectors for each cylinder, so much more modern, and usually fitted to the higher power variants in the mid 80's to mid 90's.

And................modern aftermarket fuel injection systems are based on the TBI.
But these systems are light years ahead of the original factory TBI and can be setup quite easily,
they even "learn" the engine´s fuel needs.

A FAST example here;

What engine on EBay ?

Please re read your sentences before you post, you´re confusing me.

TPI and TBI are fuel injection systems, a carburetor is not like either,
you have injection or carb they are not mixable.

Now post the link to EBay.

A TBI throttle body sits in the same location as a carb.

This is TBI.
The two injectors can be seen sitting inside the throttle body, they are wired to make them pulse,
squirt fuel.

This is a TBI manifold, two very small bores.
You can´t put a carb on this.

This is TPI.

You can see, each cylinder is fed direct from the plenum on top, that´s where the air enters and is metered.
The fuel rail, feeding the injectors can be seen behind the intake runners from which
the fuel is directly injected at the base of the runner where it joins the cylinder head.
