Car Details:Shopping trolley soon to be LT1 I hope.
I'm looking for a V6 coupe, good mechanical's and body work with long MOT the more original the better.

Looking to use the car for local shows and cruises, you know weekend use only not daily driver. The reason for the V6 is the budget, I've got around £3k to £3.5K to spend and have see a number of cars closer to the £4k region but they stay up for sale for quite a while so hoping someone on here will have one they are not using or looking to move up to a V8 and want to get rid.

Cloth interior does not put me off, Auto preferred but manual is okay.

I'm in South Yorkshire and attend the Wakefield, Leeds cruises and am getting fed up of hiding the Fiesta when chatting with my mates and as small blocks go it's to small and not America! Had a V8 Mustang but for this money I'd rather have a 4th Gen Camaro that a fuggly SN95 Mustang V8!

Seen the Green/Blue on ebay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290940299213? ... 97.c0.m619
But not sure on this colour but may make an offer just want to see if there is something better out ther, similar mileage in red or silver/pewter?

Let me know what you have please.

Frank.

I've got £4k total but that has to include Insurance, over 40 so should be £300-£400 limited mileage policy may be less. Then there is road tax at £225 so if I stick to my guns should have enough for any extra cost like travelling public transport to view and collect. Plus I love the front grill and shape of the 4th Gen so ruled out the 3rd Gens Camaros and Firebirds..........saw that Black 3rd Gen in Scotland for £3.1k but after seeing Andrew Atkinson's last night at the Wakefield cruise was taken with the whole look/shape of the car.

Went to see the Trans=Am at Cas-Am in Castleford and was totally disappointed, nothing like the advert on the net, parts missing from the engine so they can't start it, big hole in the drivers seat and torn passengers seat, all items under the car are corroded including the petrol tank that is missing a layer of skin metal, advertised for $4995 on net but after a few emails Tony said he had dropped it to £3995 which put it in my ball park figure as only 20 minutes drive away.

The GTA's are a great car but I love the curves on the facelift 4th Gen, so not for me but I think there's a good following for those cars so you should get good money for her. Good luck with your sale Rocky.

Pinhead I've seen LS1's going for £6.5k plus as it's such a great motor, only one in my budget at present has done 160k and could hit me hard with repare bills. All the LT1's I've seen have been to the moon and back as well for this money or are in a bad way and need work and that kills my budget. I've waited a couple of years since getting rid of the Mustang but with interest rates the way they are I'd rather have fun in a V6 now and in about 3 to 5 years then look at chopping in a V6 for a V8 at that time.

There are a number of face lift 4th Gen's appearing in Classic American Magazine for around £4k so was hoping that these guy and girls were on here and getting tired of advertising and hoping for a quicker sale.

Frank.

Haha I think the 1 in your price range is the 1 I got dont be scared of miles if you are on a tight budget buy on condition if did not look at the odo on mine you would never know it had the miles on

There was one in church fenton that was nice it made 3300 at auction on ebay but not sure if it sold for that or not think they have 3750 in it as a part ex for a rangrrover I went to look at it but they wanted 5k for it but they have had it a long time now so it may be they will take less

the lt1 is essentially the same motor esp 97 as they got the new interior just diferent head lights and bumpers they are not a bad engine just not an ls1 but I would have 1 of those over a 6 pot

4k was my budget inc insurance came with tax and loads of bits and some change

good luck with the search

Not a V6 but I might be persuaded to lower the price for a fellow club member :chevy:

Oh and it only has 52500 miles on it

Gonna be saving up for a Vet when it's gone. Will be hard to part with though.
