Well, We can now start the car with a push button starter  which my son thinks is so cool, I took out the cigarette lighter which didnt work and the button went straight into the hole. And no i didnt put the fog light switch there.
I still have no speedo, i put in a new speed sensor and nothing, any ideas?

I just found a receipt from you dated 29 Nov 2011, when you serviced the brakes on my Camaro.
Small world.

No, I bought it from a dealer in Harwich, Essex at the end of May. I do know of a Sarah in Woolich, she was the previous owner, She has just had her Pontiac stolen. The car has had 10 previous owners, some only kept it for a couple of months some for years. There was a young lad who i think had it in 2006 and it spent most of the next 5 years in his garage because he couldnt afford to run it.
Thanks
David

Car Details:1986 Camaro, bought into Spain by me in 1993.
305 replaced by a 355, 750 Demon carb, RPM AirGap intake, Brodix heads, Hedman Hedders, 3" Flowmaster exhaust.
Wheels are Summit aluminium 5 spokes, tyres are 245 rear 225 front BF Goodrich.
B/M transmission, battery relocated to the rear, GoodMark 4" cowl steel hood.
Location:Spain East Coast
After the sensor I´d be looking at the speedometer in dash.

I had trouble at the rear of my dash and had to buy a replacement from
HawksThirdGen, but as usual I ended up mixing parts from their´s and mine.
The printed circuits are useless after a few years.

(I would like to dump the originals and install AutoMeter instruments but I´m not sure what
I can throw and what I need to keep of the original setup.)

It would be a lot easier if mine had a cable, but as the 92s were electric, nightmare.
I will have to continue to use my sat nav as a speedo.
I have spent a few hours today under the dash looking for the VSS buffer box which i cant find.
