Thanks Stu! They were indeed lol, let's just hope the car is done whilst fuel is still purchasable and not a museum piece :lolno:

Also made some g-braces will get you some pics...

All panels are now sanded (80 grit), test fit here, hence a bit of a dodgy gap along the fender to door gap. Next job, sand up through a couple of grits ready for primer.

Oh yes, 'while i was there' with the door, i thought it would be good to straighten out the rocker panels  They were ok, but a bit wavey when looking at it with a long straight bar bit of angle bar. Only the MOT guy will ever see it, but i just know, deep down inside, for a split second he'll notice and be thinking... hmm, that panel looks pretty straight. And then i'll feel a strange sense of slight satisfaction. Of course, the only reason i have had to do work to the rocker panels, was because someone thought the best way to jack up the car was by sticking a jack on the rocker panel (probably a jobs worth on his first day at work operating a hydraulic lift?)... on both sides of the car :wall:

Thanks guys

Yes the plan is to have it on the road by the end of the summer, ideally during summer still :) I've got a week off work soon to work on the car. That way i should be able to have it primed and flatted, ready for paint. Then once the colour is on, get someone out to install the front and rear glass, while i wait for that, do the door internals, glass, locks, handles, inner panels etc, wet sand the clear and book an MOT. Always make it sound easy lol.

So i took this week off work to do the final fine sanding (320 grit) , get it primered and then sand to 600, ready for paint. On Saturday morning i went out for a run and half way through started getting some pain in my lower back, kind of like i had pulled it. I have now been in bed since, barely able to move. Takes about 10 minutes to get a glass of water. Just turning over from one side to the other requires planning and a good few minutes  :x
