Ignore my last post

So, basically more posting and more answering. ;)

Billybob780 stated that this is a road much traveled so it appears the forum can handle a bit of a lull in traffic. Not a bad thing.

I reckon people log on, see nothing of note then log off. Just checking back and forth now and then to catch up.

I wonder if a chat feature would work? I`m not sure of the ins and outs of even installing such a thing. Just a thought though.
As Billybob said, this is a point that has been raised a few times. Each time I've tried to explain that people need to be more pro-active to make this forum more busy, unfortunately very few people take up that challenge. You're absolutely correct in saying that "people log on, see nothing of note then log off. Just checking back and forth now and then to catch up." As a forum we need to make things much more active around here to make people want to come back & get involved. It would then become self perpetuating,... the busier it is, the more busy it will become, simple really. ;) Why would anyone in their right minds keep going back to a forum to see what's happening if there isn't anything happening. You'd only do it so many times before thinking it's a waste of time.

As a relative newcomer, you're posting on average 10 times a week which is fantastic. If only a few others would follow your lead & do the same & get more active here, then we'd have a really great place here.

Without people getting actively involved, this place will never obtain its full potential.

It'll be interesting to see if this thread makes people take note of what's been said & start getting involved, I certainly hope so

cheers...Nige

That was kinda what i was thinking when I wrote it. Hey, if not then no big deal. I`m a chatterbox anyway and naturally inquisitive and will ask questions regardless. I guess some people like to learn about their cars and others, well, its just a car.

Ok. Thanks for that. Opens a can of worms then as I suppose GM covers a LOT of stuff.

Not that I have anything against Astras or Vectras :)

Both are GM as said already, but the F bodies are basically the same cars. Different engines in 1st and 2nd gens, but Firebirds/transams used chevy engines 3rd and 4th gen. Virtually identical bodies, suspension brakes etc. .
