Looks like we reached our monthly limit on the last day of the month! I'm not quite sure how, so i'm going to look into why so much bandwidth is being used. After all, it's all text and 90% of images are hosted places like photo bucket as are videos.

How to post pics: When writing a message, scroll down and use the "attach file" option. Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

I'm no Stu, i'm a Ray ;)

Ye i have no idea how we could have reached such a high bandwidth. I've made a couple of changes so will keep monitoring to see if that helps decrease the usage. We should be nowhere near out limit due pics and vids not being hosted on here. Main thing is we're back :)

lol no worries. Yes that could be a solution about attachments. I can't login to the back end of the site until i'm home, going to Ace Cafe after work so probably won't be able to do anything till tomorrow eveninig. I need to figure out what caused the high usage. Logically, every member would have had to have looked at every single page and attachment this month, over and over again (100's of times, deleting their temp files each time they viewed) in order to cause that much traffic.  I'll need to hear some V8's rumble tonight to get the cogs working...

problem with attaching files is you use up lots of disk space, and still take the site down! :)

I've attached files few times, try to avoid it, but all my pics were on webshots, which has now become 'Smile', and bleedin' useless.. so may have to get a photobucket or something account.

You can call me Ray, Al, Deidre or whatever if you want...
