Well uncovered the car today ready for is summer(?) use and the dash tops cracked!! Bugga I found a couple of places in the U.S that do repair dash covers that go over the top. But my god has anyone caught the price of shipping from the U.S recently? £100 for a weightless length of plastic!!

check the ebay salvage guys, the top dash bit should still be intacked even in cars that have been front ended. Worth a try.

You would think after all these years and testing they do of parts in different climates they could make something that bloody lasts.
I bought an Opel Monza new in Germany in 1986, by 1089 the dash was just a bunch of fragments held together by dust.
I went back to the dealer but they were firm..........tough shit buddy.
I went to an upholsterer to get my cracked 3rd gen cover done in leather, he told me he had´nt got a glue that would stand up to the Spanish sun.
All the other plastic parts in cars, a couple of years and they´re all brittle losing the fixing tabs.

Still no joy on the dash cap front ! Tried the repair on Camaro Zone snapped into more bits trying to refit it. It is now totally foobarred !!!! $500 for a total replacement. I even phoned my arch nemesis Cut Maple !!! I've been waiting days for reply!!!!! Getting peeded off with the whole American car scene now....... A lot of money with very little enjoyment :(

Have you thought about anyone that might have a regular container shipment? That would be cost effective.

I noticed the last day my car sitting in the sun and when I got in I thought I was going to pass out with the heat. Can`t be good for cheap plastics.
