You meet some crazy people in racing sometimes- I met this guy Ralph (let's call him Ralph because that is his name!) on my last trip to Sunny South Africa

please meet Ralph and his Jet!

This guy likes to race a Hiabusa at head height along the public highway in his Jet! At 200 mph that is seriously slow for a Striker jet-
herewith a photo taken by a passer by - you can see he really was flying at headheight- even had to jink to avoid road signs
this is what he had to say about the picture:

"Don't have many Strikey pix on this machine but have got this one...the Hiabusa was just ahead. My legs were aching at the end of the shoot as we had to skid the aircraft around the corners and carefully lift the wing tips over the road signs!! You can see that we have 2 notches of flap....with a 4 second engine spool to full power on the Viper 535 the flying was very critical to say the least!"

needless to say we had such a good lunch I had to stay the night with his family - couldn't drive back - and on his walls were the amazing shots of the Strikey above the Hiabusa- and he too has some lovely racecars - an Osca looked after by my guys in UK
