Morning all,

Back in the UK now after a snowboarding holiday, so lots to catch up on the forum. Who thought that snow would be painful to land on??!!

Nice views anyways:

So turns out Mothers Day is next Sunday, same day as Essex swap meet. Who here's gonna be getting frowned upon for not being at home??

Hello Stu,

Ye there hadn't been any fresh snowfall all week so on piste it was like sheet ice, so not only did you pick up speed like crazy, but control was very difficult, so landing on your back would pretty much wind you! Was in South France in the Alps, place called Tarantaise - ever heard of it / been there?

Tarantaise i've never heard of.. Quick search on Google and there's a town called Tarentaise very near to St Etienne south of Lyon and to the west of the main Alps region.... Unless it's Tarentaise St Foy, which is right near 3 Valley area near where I was..
It's unusual for a resort to have no snow machines for the periods of no flurries, unless it's a very small resort.
